You can enable kids to learn about the natural and cultural heritage of Pennsylvania’s Alleghenies, to get them excited about something beyond video games and iPods, and to inspire the next generation of environmental stewards!
May 6-7, 2010, at scenic Quemahoning Lake in northern Somerset County, natural and cultural organizations will gather to present Outdoor Adventures. Over two days, 1,000 elementary students will experience the natural world in a personal way. They’ll learn about our forests, waterways and wildlife by seeing, touching, and hearing about them from people who are passionate about their interests.
This event is free of charge to the students, participating school districts and homeschooling parents. But Outdoor Adventures is not free of cost. This important educational event is possible only through the commitment of sponsoring organizations and donations.
With your donation, you become an Outdoor Heritage sponsor. For more information on OH sponsorships, click on the Sponsors button above.
