Since 1995, environmental, conservation, recreational and heritage groups have had an annual opportunity to educate hundreds of school students from across Pennsylvania’s Alleghenies. Today that event is known as Outdoor Adventures.

Every year, approximately 1,200 elementary school students will converge upon Summer’s Best Two Weeks camp at beautiful Quemahoning Lake to learn about watersheds and native plant life, fish for trout, look at a working windmill, get up close with birds of prey or take a nature hike, among other activities.

You can add to their experience! Share your knowledge or your organization’s work. Expose these kids to your area of interest, and stir their imagination. Part of Outdoor Adventures’ mission is to foster the next generation of environmental stewards. We need your help to accomplish that goal!

Can our past point the way to a greener future? What insights can you or your organization bring? Join us for Outdoor Adventures and engage kids in our Alleghenies’ heritage.
