Outdoor Adventures is more than an outdoor classroom. It is a multi-disciplinary experience for your elementary kids. They’ll be exposed to subjects and concepts in the fields of biology, chemistry, ecology, economics, history, and mathematics. They’ll be learning in a large outdoor setting that also will provide them with exercise and fresh air. And they’ll be having so much fun that they won’t even notice that they are learning!
This field day aligns with a number of Pennsylvania standards, especially in the fields of:
- Environment and Ecology.
- Science and Technology.
Outdoor Adventures addresses much of the eligible content contained in Assessment Anchors for grades 4 and 8. For information on how this event meets Pennsylvania Academic Standards, click here.
If your student is in middle or high school, contact us to discuss ways they can become involved in a peer-to-peer learning experience.
Click here to register your students to attend Outdoor Adventures on either May 6 or 7. We strive to accommodate as many students as possible. However, in order to give students a quality experience, we do limit attendance. Early registration is recommended. Registration deadline is March 1, 2010.
