Outdoor Adventures school field trip will no longer be offered.

Natural Biodiversity and Kiski-Conemaugh Stream Team regret to inform you that Outdoor Adventures, a popular spring field trip for area schools, will not be offered in the future.  Despite its quality and popularity, Outdoor Adventures cost in excess of $100,000 in time and expense each year.  In light of the annual fundraising and time challenges presented, the two organizations have decided to dedicate all of their focus toward environmental education projects that provide more lasting and meaningful impacts, ones that benefit area school districts throughout the year, not just during one day per year.  Thank you all for making Outdoor Adventures a success over the last few years...your efforts were truly monumental!

Currently, Natural Biodiversity is offering the following environmental education programs:
  • Outdoor Heritage Month -to be expanded, launching year-round environmental activities each April
  • BioBullies Curriculum Supplement for Pennsylvania Schools - a creative resource educators can use to teach students about invasive species
  • Outdoor classroom assistance - helping schools to create interactive outdoor learning spaces on school grounds
  • Allegheny Mountain Green Fest, May 14, 2010, 10am-6pm University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown
