“We do not inherit the earth from our ancestors. We borrow it from our children.” -Chief Seattle
The words of Chief Seattle ring true today more than ever, as our society realizes that its current path is clearly unsustainable. The results of our actions will echo into the future for generations to come. We all must act swiftly to secure our future as a prosperous society. To aid in this action, Natural Biodiversity hosted the first annual Allegheny Mountain Green Fest on May 14th, 2011 from 10 am to 6 pm at the University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown’s Living learning Center.
The mission of Green Fest is to propagate an enthusiastic, green spirit, prompting the people of the Allegheny Mountain to take personal action and care for our local environment, global community and future generations.
Green Fest is a fun, family-friendly, day-long event that hosts a Keynote Speaker, a Native Plant Sale, hands-on workshops, engaging speakers, a Kids Patch area for kids activities, and indoor and outdoor Eco Expo featuring businesses and organizations who offer products and services that help people green their lives.
We hope to see you at the next green fest!
Consider being a sponsor or exhibitor at the 2012 Green Fest and be a part of this great, regional event.
